Massage in Motion mandates the adherence of the following policies:
Appointments and Scheduling
All massage and bodywork sessions are currently available by appointment only. Please remember that your appointment time is reserved especially for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you can easily contact us by phone call, text or email.
Cancellations or missed appointments
In today’s world, unplanned issues come up for all of us. Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for a missed appointment fee equivalent to the cost of your missed appointment.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a no-show. They will be charged for their missed appointment.
Please allow for the therapist to arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to prepare for your massage. This will give you time to unwind and to make sure that your appointment starts on time.
We accept cash as well as Credit and Debit cards. Gift certificates from Massage in Motion are also accepted as payment (please be sure they have not expired). At this time we do not accept medical insurance.
Gratuities are not included in the service fee’s but are always very appreciated should you feel the therapist has earned one.
Your privacy is very important to us and will be honored at all times. The therapist will step into another room while you undress and redress. You will be appropriately draped at all times. If you have any questions about draping or what you should wear during your massage, please feel free to ask the therapist. Information and records about our clients are kept in strict confidence. Neither your personal information, nor health information will be shared unless we have your prior consent, or in the event we are required by law to provide access to your records.
If the client requests or makes comments about sexual or other inappropriate activities, the session will be immediately stopped. We will not see the client again. This is unethical, prohibited and will not be tolerated. Full payment will be charged whether the session has started or not.
We care about your health as well as ours. If a client presents signs or symptoms of illness that would make the massage unhealthy for either you, or the massage therapist, the session will be rescheduled. Signs or symptoms would include fever, undiagnosed rash or contagious infection.
We reserve the right to reschedule in the event of therapist illness or emergency.
